Collaboration Network
With support from the Pearson Foundation, NAF launched the Collaboration Network, an interactive online resource for all NAF Academies, to capitalize on the abundant professional learning opportunities available across the network.
Every Academy – new or established – faces challenges:
How to get more internships for students?
How to increase an Advisory Board’s effectiveness?
How best to implement the NAF Curriculum?
How each Academy addresses its challenges – whether or not their efforts were successful – serves as a rich source of professional development and sharing for Academy colleagues around the country.
The NAF Collaboration Network is tailored specifically to NAF's national network of Academy teachers. Through the NAF Collaboration Network, members connect online, take part in discussion groups, access informative videos and blogs, and exchange best practices. Members also download important NAF resources, such as curriculum updates, professional training materials, and guides.
Though primarily an online resource, the NAF Collaboration Network also offers teachers:
- Online training programs and Web-based instruction;
- Recognition for exemplary practices and leadership;
- Message boards and online meetings; and
- Direct support for maximizing effectiveness of the NAF curriculum.
Both as contributors to the Collaboration Network and as its prime beneficiaries, NAF teachers gain a tremendous boost through the Collaboration Network for all their efforts at improving their work in the classroom.
