Student Recruitment Ideas
As a teacher/director myself, juggling duties is very difficult. Some of the things that we have done is that we held a guidance counselor open house where we invited all of the sending districts to learn about the program. We had the students set up stations where they talked about the different programs that we offered (we are a magnet school that pulls from 16 different districts).
We also send out letters to all the freshmen parents that inform them of the great opportunities we have to offer their students. We have district and interdistrict open houses where we make sure we have students and a teacher presence. We tend to let the kids do all the talking to show how well they present.
