NAF Conferences
The National Academy Foundation will host its 2010 conferences at the Philadelphia Marriott on the following dates:
Academy Leadership Summit: This annual conference will include sessions on issues related to leading a successful career academy, targeted work time connected to key academy issues, and updates on national policy affecting NAF academies.
July 9, 11:00 – 5:00
July 10, 8:30 – 6:00 (including closing reception)
Annual Institute for Staff Development: The Institute features several days of intensive peer training, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities for Academy team members. In addition, conference attendees will work in cohorts focused on key elements of the NAF model.
July 11, 8:30 – 5:00 (Honoree Banquet 7:00 – 9:00)
July 12, 8:30 – 5:00
July 13, 8:30 – 1:00

At the 2010 conferences, NAF will again be honoring alumni, directors, and advisory board members who have made outstanding contributions to their Academy and community. We invite all Academy members to submit nominations. Nominees must come from NAF Academies in good standing.
2010 Alumni Honoree Nominations: If you would like to nominate an outstanding Academy alumnus, please download and complete the Alumni Honoree Nomination Form and send it to institute@naf.org.
2010 Advisory Board Champion Nominations: If you would like to nominate an outstanding Academy Advisory Board member, please download and complete the Advisory Board Champion Nomination Form and send it to institute@naf.org.
2010 Janet Linton Academy Leadership Award Nominations: If you would like to nominate an outstanding Academy director, please download and complete the Janet Linton Award Nomination Form and send it to institute@naf.org. Please also download the Instruction Form for further information.

2009 Institute for Staff Development
The 2009 Institute for Staff Development took place in Phoenix, Arizona from July 8-10, 2009. Thanks to all the teachers, directors, partners, administrators, and students who attended this year’s Institute.

Seattle Academies of Finance Case Competition
6:30pm Apr 19, 2010
In a competition created by an AOF alumna, students from Seattle’s Academies of Finance analyze Harvard Business School case studies. They are partnered with undergraduate mentors from the University of Washington’s business school and compete for scholarship money. In 2009, 42 teams from three high schools participated in the contest. The school competition and final competition for this event will be held Monday, April 19, 2010. >
