More than 275 local high school students will be on hand at Niagara University Wednesday to take part in professional workshops on business leadership, interpersonal skills, dining etiquette and social media.
Nine high schools are taking part with students from Barker, Clarence, Depew, Hamburg, Lake Shore, Lewiston-Porter, North Tonawanda, Orchard Park and West Seneca. The schools are all linked to the National Academy Foundation.
The students are all members of the Academy of Finance at their schools. The Academy connects students with professionals working in financial services and offers courses ranging from accounting and economics to financial planning. The goal of today’s workshop is to prepare young people for college and career success.
