As a young person, I had plenty of career paths that I thought I wanted to take but, because I came from a family that emphasized service and promoted education, I had some constant themes throughout all of my many career goals. I wanted a career that would make a difference to those in need, require me to keep learning, and that I could be doing work that would make me proud. I was accepted into college as a Business Administration major, and Computer Science minor. I had the opportunity to have an internship in Human Resources in a Health Care company the summer before I went off to college. Being able to help employees who help get people healthy had a profound effect on me. I changed my major to Human Development with an emphasis on multicultural communities. I learned to follow my passion and I use these skills daily for the betterment of young people.
