State Sen. Elaine Phillips recently attended a New Hyde Park Memorial High School Academy of Finance student meeting. The Academy of Finance is a four-year educational program for students interested in pursuing finance in college.

“As someone who worked in the finance industry for more than 20 years, I am delighted that students in the Academy of Finance are being proactive and are getting a head start on their college curriculum and careers,” Phillips said.

The Academy of Finance was founded in 1982 and currently exists nationwide in more than 400 high schools in 40 States, and has a total enrollment of more than 20,000 students.
