The NAF Alumni Journey

The NAF experience doesn’t end at graduation. NAF graduates have the opportunity to stay connected to and participate in opportunities through NAF’s Alumni Network. Membership is free and lasts a lifetime!

Alumni who are active in the NAF Alumni Network have opportunities to continue to grow their careers, connect with fellow alumni, as well as give back to current students. In addition, NAF honors three alumni each year at its annual conference and hosts events throughout the month of November for Alumni Month. Additional events and speaking opportunities are regularly offered.

Explore the NAF Alumni Journey

Engagement with the NAF alumni network begins before students graduate to ensure that this critical connection is made.

Junior Year

Students are introduced to the Alumni Network, the benefits of joining, and how to get involved. They receive information on scholarships, professional development opportunities, and interact with national partners that are interested in students’ long-term career paths.

Senior Year

Seniors receive a graduation packet that helps them get started on their next steps, including connecting with the Alumni Network. They are invited to connect with the Alumni Leadership Council, as well as professional development opportunities designed to support graduates as they prepare to enter college or start their careers.

New Alumni

New alumni have access to a series of opportunities, including the Alumni Mentorship Program, networking events, internships, apprenticeships, scholarships, and professional development as well as opportunities to participate in NAF programming, such as joining a local advisory board.

New Young Professional

Those new to the workforce have unique opportunities to both give back as well as receive continued support. They may become a mentor, volunteer for a NAF academy or share their experience at a national event. NAF alumni are often media spokespeople and subjects of NAF’s video projects. Job opportunities are regularly shared with NAF Alumni.

Established Alumni

Established alumni still have plenty to gain from being a part of the NAF Alumni Network. They continue to be invited to participate in NAF programming, as well as be spokespeople for media and NAF events. Additional opportunities include hiring NAF interns, serving on local Advisory Boards, and becoming mentors.
