Approximately 50 National Academy Foundation Independent School District high school students in Dallas were recently invited for a Career Development Workshop by Big Four firm KPMG.
Students from the local Woodrow Wilson Academy of Finance, W.H. Adamson Academy of Finance, and Sunset High School Academy of Finance were invited to attend a range of activities, including a presentation on different accounting careers, a panel discussion on academia, and how to properly prepare for long careers in the accounting and finance industries. A networking session with KPMG staff members was also held.
KPMG and NAF have a working relationship across the country, with the Big Four firm helping to develop the organization’s accounting curriculum, as well as provide internship opportunities to students. KPMG staff also provides mentorship programs, job shadows, speed networking and paid high school internships to NAF students.
