About the Role

Join the Philanthropy team at NAF, a mission driven organization where we are working together to prepare the next generation of innovative leaders! The Manager, Partnerships will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful work-based learning experiences, internships, alumni development programs, and advisory board participation to the NAF network.

The Manager, Partnerships, plays a critical role on NAF’s Philanthropy team, which is responsible for raising funds and managing impactful relationships with partners. This role will match and support successful implementation of partner engagement opportunities with stakeholders like students, alumni, and educators based on industry sector, academy theme, geography, local job market and talent pipeline priorities. This role requires a collaborative mindset working across departments at NAF and industry sectors to ensure seamless service delivery, impactful, and sustained partner relationships.

The person in this role also serves as a NAF representative at events and conferences influencing NAF’s approach to work-based learning, internships, and alumni programming, and more. As a member of a deadline-driven, high-performing team, the Manager, Partnerships will also focus on data collection and outcome-based metrics to demonstrate and grow partner impact.

This position will report to the Assistant Vice President, Partnerships. This is a fully remote role, with travel expected up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Education/Training

Associates/Bachelor’s/Certification.

Preferred Experience

  • – Responsibility for managing projects, volunteers, and/or teams.
  • – 3-6 years of other relevant experience, including:
    • Experience in corporate/industry sector, education, and/or maintaining successful public/private partnerships.
    • – Experience in project management with multiple stakeholders.
    • – Experience in development, and implementation of action plans, particularly as they relate to relationship/volunteer management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • – Commitment to the NAF mission and vision for young people.
  • – Ability to manage multiple projects through successful completion, with metrics informing decisions and providing insight into corrective action needed.
  • – Ability to build relationships and work with multiple levels of stakeholders including teachers, principals, superintendents, corporate partners and CEOs, NGOs, and public officials. 
  • – Knowledge of work-based learning, high school internship, and volunteer engagement best practices.
  • – Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
  • – Strong technology skills: well-versed in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management.  Experience with Salesforce, Asana, and SmartSheets a plus.
