Senior Manager, Academy Development (Remote)

Job Summary: 

NAF is seeking a Senior Manager, Academy Development to manage a portfolio of key existing and emerging districts by providing exemplary support and service delivery. The core responsibilities for this role will be creating networks to develop and implement customized plans and direct supports that lead to increased high-quality academy programs and learning opportunities for students. This includes supporting academy quality and growth by building the capacity of academy teams, supporting the development of local advisory boards and local work-based learning opportunities. The Senior Manager will serve as a liaison between NAF and schools in our network, creating and refining strategies to increase quality through training and support.

The Senior Manager, Academy Development will collaborate with functional teams across NAF by offering recommendations to district service delivery and communicating progress and outcomes. They will partner with NAF’s Institutional Advancement Team to support local grant initiatives, and with NAF’s Marketing & Communications to support academy development, marketing strategies and local media influence strategies. The Senior Manager will drive results including academy quality, growth, and expansion, achievement of grant deliverables, district-NAF partnership priorities, advisory board development and support, and NAFTrack certification attainment.

The ideal candidate is excited about the opportunity to build relationships internally and externally within the NAF network of educators and business partners. This role requires an individual with knowledge of NAF’s Design and with previous experience partnering with school districts and industry or experience partnering the public sector and with internal and external stakeholders to support geographic related projects, deliverables, and resources.

This role is a remote role, requiring travel regionally and nationally – up to 50%.

Preferred Educational/Training:

Associate/Bachelor’s/Certification in a related field such as Education, Business, or related fields.

Preferred Experience:

3-6 years’ experience working in positions in or related to the field of education with responsibility for managing projects and/or teams. Equivalent business, government, or nonprofit experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

– Commitment to the NAF mission and vision for young people.

– Capacity to manage a portfolio of priority districts, making data-informed decisions and providing insight into levels of support needed for sustained academy quality.

– Ability to build relationships and work with multiple stakeholders including teachers, principals, superintendents, and business/community partners.

– Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

– Spanish language (verbal and written) proficiency is preferred.

– Proficient technology skills: well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite.

– Remote working experience preferred.

$105,000
