This year marked a pivotal time in NAF’s history. With a powerful new brand that reflects our commitment to preparing our nation’s students to face their futures armed with the skills and experiences needed to succeed, NAF is poised to change more lives than ever before.

Together with NAF, the Citi Foundation is launching the Future Ready Innovation Fund, a five-year, $3.2M investment, as part of the Citi Foundation’s Pathways to Progress Initiative to tackle the issue of youth unemployment in American cities. The Future Ready Innovation Fund is an ambitious effort to support the NAF innovations and programmatic enhancements tied to strategic growth and improved quality such as NAFTrack Certified Hiring.

Citi’s leadership role at NAF dates back to the vision of NAF’s founder and chairman, Citi’s former CEO Sandy Weill. Since the early establishment of NAF, the Citi Foundation has supported NAF in creating and refining an educational design that demonstrates meaningful business/education partnerships while helping to build a diverse, well-equipped workforce.

The Future Ready Innovation Fund continues this longstanding tradition, while propelling NAF to a new level of impact.

Citi exemplifies a corporate partner that can truly move the needle for NAF students, and we look forward to working with Citi in the coming years to unlock economic opportunity for low-income youth nationwide.
