Created by the United Nations in 2011, International Day of the Girl is a movement to help galvanize worldwide enthusiasm for goals to better girls’ lives, providing an opportunity for them to show leadership and reach their full potential. According to a report from API, significantly less women with a STEM bachelor’s degree funnel into STEM jobs than men, at about 30 percent and 49 percent respectively. As a nation, we fall short on preparing students for the reality of their chosen career path, especially females. This is where NAF comes in.

NAF is a national network that transforms the high school experience by partnering with businesses to expose underserved students to STEM infused-curricula and work-based learning opportunities. Over 100,000 students across the country are becoming future and career ready through NAF’s educational design. NAF envisions a world in which all young people have equal opportunity for successful futures and believes in the betterment of young girls. 47% of the students we serve are females. They graduate with the skills and knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their future.
