About 80 students from Northport High School got special insight on today’s competitive job market thanks to many businesses in the community who attended a networking event on Tuesday.

At the “Mock Interview” event organized by the Northport High School Academy of Finance, business executives gave students pointers on how to be professional, what to say during an interview and how to dress for an interview.

“Our students took all the necessary preparations for this interviewing event,” Allison Schwabish, Coordinator of the school’s Academy of Finance, said in a press release. “We impressed on them that in order to get the internships that they will be applying for as part of our program they will need to polish their interviewing skills.”

The “Mock Interview” event gave students personalized attention and network opportunities.
