TWIN FALLS • Twin Falls High School last week was ranked among the 100 best high schools teaching personal finance.

Winners were announced April 7 during a ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange.

Twin Falls High was ranked between 31st and 100th, but specific rankings weren’t released.

The announcement marked the 11th anniversary of the certification program for wise financial literacy.

The program provides teachers with curriculum and instructional resources to teach personal finance and measure student knowledge through the standardized certification test.

Students in Twin Falls High’s Academy of Finance take the financial literacy test during their senior year.

The academy, launched in 2002, teaches more than 100 students each year financial literacy, workplace etiquette, team-building, community service and exploration of career options.
