In Total, More Than 240 NAF Academies Earn Model Level for Delivering High-Quality Educational Experiences for High School Students
(April 17, 2024 – New York, NY) – 210 academies in the NAF network have reached Katherine Blasik Distinguished level, and in total, more than 240 have reached Model level on NAF’s annual assessment – delivering high-quality educational experiences for high school students across the nation. NAF’s annual assessment measures an academy’s strengths and challenges in implementing NAF’s results-driven design, that prepares students for success in college and careers.
210 academies in the NAF network have reached Katherine Blasik Distinguished level, with 187 of these academies having reached this level more than once and 23 being new to the roster. Site visits, hosted virtually this year, were conducted to verify academy scores for those new to Katherine Blasik Distinguished.
NAF Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Dughi, said, “Congratulations to all our Katherine Blasik Distinguished and NAF Model academies and another round of applause for our academies joining the ranks for the first time! You should be extremely proud of all your impactful efforts and important contributions to ensuring student success. NAF’s annual assessment helps academies assess their progress and increase their alignment to NAF’s criteria, reflecting national standards developed by researchers and members from similar career and pathway organizations.

During the 2023-24 school year, over 113,000 students attended over 600 NAF academies across 34 states and territories.
