(New York, NY – July 8, 2022) – NAF is excited to announce our new partnership with Machu Picchu Energy. Machu Picchu Energy is made for those who want Feel Good and Do Good energy — Feel Good about what you put into your body. Do Good with a strong social mission helping children. The company is born out of a passion to share the joy of living outdoors to the fullest and its energy drink is made up of clean and organic ingredients, that provide a boost of energy for enjoying outside activities, connecting with nature, and achieving true wellbeing.

CEO, Daniel Scharff, will be joined by Patricia Washington from Miami Jackson Senior High School at NAF Next 2022: Reuniting! They will be hosting a demonstration station, as part of the Innovation Studio on Monday, July 11th from 10-10:45 am CT and Tuesday, July 12th from 10:40-11:40 am CT. Participants can experience their new entrepreneurship simulator first-hand, and educators are invited to join this session to create their own drinks, facilitated by Macchu Picchu Energy.

“Machu Picchu Energy is committed to helping children have a more promising future. In 2021, we developed BevLaunch, a hands-on simulator that empowers students to become socially conscious entrepreneurs. Our pilot program in Miami featured highly engaged student teams developing unique drinks, social missions, and marketing strategies, building up to a final investor pitch. The results were outstanding, and we all saw first-hand the tremendous impact on the students. Now, our partnership with NAF will help us bring the real world of beverage entrepreneurship inside classrooms all across the country. We’re so grateful to everyone at NAF, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and the amazing students for helping make this dream a reality.” — Daniel Scharff, Chief Executive Officer at Machu Picchu Energy.

NAF CEO, Lisa Dughi, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Machu Picchu Energy to bring innovative entrepreneurship opportunities to our NAF students and are grateful for a successful pilot program in Miami. NAF is looking forward to having Daniel Scharff join us at NAF Next to give all of our participants a taste of the entrepreneurship simulator and join in on the fun!”

In Fall 2022, NAF will roll out “BevLaunch” where students will work in teams to create their own beverage companies, taught by professional beverage entrepreneurs. Student teams will create a drink, a company name, package design, marketing strategy, and even have the opportunity to pitch investors.

About Machu Picchu Energy

Machu Picchu Energy is made for those who want Feel Good and Do Good energy. Feel Good about what you put into your body. Do Good with a strong social mission helping children. Machu Picchu creates organic energy drinks that contain natural caffeine from organic green coffee beans, balanced with organic maca, an ancient superfood. Our drinks are full of natural flavor and infused with life-sustaining vitamins, while offering a cleaner take on the familiar taste profile popularized by mainstream brands. Driven by dual passions for outdoor adventures and helping children in need, Machu Picchu Founder Bernardo Paiva,  Brazilian entrepreneur and longtime executive at global beverage companies including Ambev and Anheuser-Busch InBev, launched the business to support various organizations while inspiring consumers to connect with nature. Machu Picchu Energy supports groups such as Favela Radical and Alto Peru, which provide learning and development opportunities, community and outdoor activities for children in urban slums in South America, and developed BevLaunch, an entrepreneurship simulator taught in US public schools giving kids the opportunity to learn how to launch their own business. The company is a founding member and financial supporter of the 2030 Cultural Pact, a partnership with UNESCO in Peru to preserve cultural sites, including the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
