Summary:
The Senior Manager, Advisory Board Activation will manage the quality and implementation of products and services for NAF’s advisory boards, including training, resources, tools, and strategic support. This position supports NAF’s plan to increase the number of local partners and their involvement in advisory boards, making an impact on work-based learning opportunities for all students using NAF’s Outcomes-Driven Work-Based Learning approach.
The Senior Manager, Advisory Board Activation will manage the implementation and ongoing execution of NAF’s advisory board activation goals and priorities by working collaboratively with internal staff members and external partners. The Senior Manager, Advisory Board Activation will provide coaching, mentoring, guidance, and support to advisory boards and local partnerships at academies and school districts. They will provide the project management, cross-functional coordination, and communications needed to deliver high-quality project outcomes. They will facilitate the strategic development of advisory boards in several cities across the country by organizing convenings for advisory board member professional learning. The Senior Manager, Advisory Board Activation will also encourage the use of data for local operational improvements and provide communications and social media support on national initiatives.
The core duties of this role are in network advisory board & employer engagement. This role requires an individual with an expertise in industry & education partnerships; the full continuum of work-based learning; successful business development skills and a demonstrated history of successful relationship management. Educational/Training Requirements:
Associate/Bachelor’s/Certification; degree in education and/or business field preferred
Experience:
3-6 years of relevant experience, including:
- Experience activating and sustaining high-quality and impactful advisory boards
- Experience working with employer partners, schools, and students to implement work-based learning and workforce development
- Experience leading and guiding staff to meet department/function goals
- Project management and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of and experience with NAF’s educational design
- Experience developing templates and resources
- Experience with developing and providing training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of advisory board and work-based learning best practices
- Knowledge of K-12 career pathways and workforce development
- Proactive and goal-oriented
- Problem-solver who can overcome obstacles
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Operates with a high degree of independence to make decisions

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google suite, Asana (optional)
Salary Range:
$105,000.00
