SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired – August 18, 2016) —SAP SuccessFactors today announced an initiative to support NAF, an organization dedicated to solving the biggest challenges facing education and the economy by bringing education, business and community leaders together to transform the high school experience. To create awareness and raise money for NAF’s goals, SAP will donate one dollar for every tweet with both #sconnect16 and #BeFutureReady between August 15 and September 30. The initiative is part of SuccessConnect 2016 taking place August 29-31 at The Venetian/Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
In America today many high school students are not graduating with the skills they need to be successful in the job market. NAF aims to change that by focusing on STEM-infused, industry-specific curricula and work-based learning to ignite students’ passion for learning and to give businesses the opportunity to shape America’s future workforce. During the 2015-2016 school year nearly 89,000 students attended 716 NAF academies across 36 states, including Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In 2015, NAF academies reported 98% of seniors graduated with 92% of graduates planning to go to college.
“We know that there is a fundamental shift in the way work is done, the way you engage and manage talent, and the skills required in the workforce of today and tomorrow,” said Debra Cupp, managing director, SAP SuccessFactors North America. “NAF is an incredible organization that is actively solving some of the biggest challenges facing education and the future of work in America today.”
SAP SuccessFactors provides solutions to help streamline and standardize how HR professionals manage today’s workforce and derive quantitative insights in real time, foster all-in people to align their goals with business goals, and enable an agile workforce to navigate and capture new opportunities in today’s digital economy.
